LIBERATION, A MORAL CHARADE FOR THE CAUSE IS A PART OF YOUR SACRED LIE

KIMONO: HELLO MARGARET - CROP TOP: DESIRE CLOTHING - PINK ACID WASH SHORTS: AX PARIS - SANDALS: AX PARIS

The past few days I've been feeling very pink and girly, I'm not sure where this girlyness is coming from but I like being able to turn a otherwise bright and in your face colour into something that suits a more 'Woo I'm wearing a kimono, I'm such an earth child' look.

Literally every outfit that I've worn over the past few weeks has involved a kimono of some sorts, I think I'm obsessed. To begin with I wasn't too sold on them because I'm not a fan of slouchy clothes but it seems I'm over it because they're kind of perfect for this boiling hot weather! I really love long ones and when Hello Margaret released their newest collection I was like ahh I must have it!

Hello Margaret are one of my favourite online stores because they have amazing products and also the girls that work there (Cookie and Smitch) are super lovely! They design and make everything on the website themselves which I think is really cool (I wish I could still have the patience to sew) and they only make a small amount of each item so they're quite exclusive and ethical and all that fancy jazz! I've got another one of their newest items to post over the next few days which I'm very excited about because the print is super amazing, but you shall all have to wait and see!

YOU KNOW IT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING

KIMONO: *IN LOVE WITH FASHION/ ILWF - VINTAGE SHIRT: CHARITY SHOP - VINTAGE HIGHWAISTED DENIM SHORTS: WEARECOW - CLEATED SOLE BOOTS: *WHOLESALE7

I've been wearing this kimono (from ILWF)lots since I first got it as it goes with a lot of different things, I especially like it with my vintage charity shop find as the patterns and colours really compliment each other. Snowie decided she wanted to get in on the fun, not that that's any different from normal. She usually wanders aimlessly around in the background of my photos but this time she decided that she wanted to stand next to me for the entire photo process. Her face looks so happy and determined! Also these WEARECOW shorts are my favourite, they look super baggy but they fit in a weird baggy way, I think the legs on them must just be super wide. I wonder what type of trouser they were before they were cutoff for the legs to be that wide as I would like to find some more of these! They have a cute floral pocket stitched onto the back by the rework team at WEARECOW which I forgot to get a photo of but I'll try to remember next time!

HIGHSTREET VERSIONS OF THIS MONTHS FAV CHARITY SHOP LOOKS #1

Yesterday I went to London and had lunch with Anna, one of the lovely ladies from rewardStyle. We talked about lots of things, one of them was how I used to get asked lots of questions on formspring about what to buy on the highstreet and then I would go and find individual outfits for different people, this was back in 2010 of course. It was really fun so I thought maybe I should do something like that again. She also mentioned that I should do 'Shop The Look' type posts which, personally I've always thought of as a bit sell-out-y, but it does make sense in terms of because I wear a lot of vintage and charity shop items, they're all quite individual garments but I could find high street versions to show you all! So I thought that I would put together a post with my top three looks from the past month that have gained the most interest from you guys and show you where you can get my charity shop/ vintage items on the highstreet!

Let me know if this is something you'd like me to do more often, I may even start finding outfits for people on my ask.fm if anyone would be interested in that<3
